In episode 42, I interview Psychotherapist and Goal-Getter, Shaleah Woods. Shaleah set an initial health goal back in 2018 to workout 365 days straight for 60 minutes. At the time of this interview recording she was on day 751. Not only did Shaleah surpass her initial goal, but it is now part of her daily habit to move her body and it created a domino effect on her other goals. She built a mindset that was centered around a commitment to herself and even on her hardest days pushed past the excuses. She shares openly through storytelling and helpful takeaways that you can apply as you begin setting your goals or intentions for 2021. Most of us like to set New Year Resolutions and I hope this episode will help to inspire you that you could make that goal come true. Shaleah is here to show us her way and hopes to inspire you on your journey.

In episode 40, I share with you a special acronym that you can begin using today to combat stressful moments in your life. This is a technique therapists use in sessions with clients from a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) approach. All this means is that it is a technique to help people manage stress and overwhelm. I breakdown the acronym "IMPROVE the moment" for you by using each letter as a coping strategy. The brain loves quick memory recall and this technique helps you recall one of the seven coping strategies by using the acronym to help you in the moment.
