33. The Journey to Motherhood + Following Your Intuition: Interview w/ Psychotherapist Monique Dozier
In episode 33, I sit down with Psychotherapist, Monique Dozier to discuss her journey through motherhood after medical complications and being told she couldn't have children and navigating the medical system as a Black woman. She shares her joys and sorrows with us. Monique experienced depression and postpartum depression and she openly shares what that was like and what helped her along the way. Monique shares how to she became and expert on herself by tuning into her body and listening to the whispers from God. Guest Bio:
Monique Dozier is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, medical social worker, and psychotherapist practicing for over 10 years. She is currently serving patients in an inpatient and outpatient hospital/clinic setting but has recently decided to venture out and start her own private practice. Her practice, “Journey to Genesis” specializes in therapeutic interventions for Black women along their journeys to and through motherhood. She is a Christian, wife, and mother of two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family.
